Another batch of weapons from Trinidad and Tobago was seized in the east of the country

During the broadcast of the Con El Mazo Dando (Hitting with the Hammer) program, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), Diosdado Cabello, Vice President for Politics, Citizen Security, and Peace, reported that as part of the investigation being conducted by the national government against the fascist extreme right wing‘s destabilization plans, another batch of weapons from Trinidad and Tobago was seized in the eastern part of the country on Tuesday, June 10:

«We announced an operation, and yesterday they seized another batch of weapons at a site in eastern Venezuela. Some of these weapons are being brought from Trinidad,» he stated.

He also mentioned that digital media outlets such as La Tabla reported that more than 100,000 rounds of ammunition were lost in that country and no one knows where they are. «It was an investigation conducted by that website, and when we say something is happening, they (Trinidad and Tobago) get offended.»

In this regard, he emphasized that one of the detainees is a native from the Caribbean country and confessed that the weapons came from there: «We’re not saying what they were going to do with the weapons so as not to get into the details, and behind this is the narco-paramilitarism and the opposition in Venezuela, which has no scruples, that is capable of allying with anyone in order to come into power in the country, but they haven’t been able to, and they never will.»

In another context, the secretary general of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) expressed his concern about the violation of the human rights of migrants in the United States: «From Venezuela, we are very concerned about the situation they are experiencing there,» he said, reiterating his call to the United States government to return Venezuelan children who are separated from their families when they are deported from the United States to Venezuela.
