The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela informs the international community that it has joined the International Mediation Organization (OIMed), a powerful multilateral tool that marks a turning point in the construction of a new, just, peaceful, multi-centered, and pluripolar world order.

The OIMed, the first intergovernmental organization dedicated exclusively to mediation for the resolution of international disputes, is based on essential principles such as respect for the sovereignty of States, the self-determination of peoples, good faith, and legal certainty.

This initiative constitutes concrete support for the principles of the Charter of the United Nations and stands as a bastion against those who seek to undermine multilateralism and weaken legitimate spaces for dialogue between the nations.

Venezuela expresses its warmest congratulations to President Xi Jinping and the Government of the People’s Republic of China for this transcendental contribution to peace, international justice, and the strengthening of the Global South as a bloc with its own voice and a common agenda in global governance.

Next Tuesday, June 3, the National Executive Branch will present the incorporation document to the OIMed to the National Assembly, with the purpose of granting it the status of Law of the Republic and ratifying the Venezuelan State’s commitment to the peaceful resolution of conflicts, international law, and cooperation among the peoples of the world.”
