Venezuela denounces new false flag operation on the Cuyuní River

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela categorically rejected the statements issued by the Guyana Defense Force on May 15, attempting to hold the country responsible for alleged attacks against Guyanese troops on the Cuyuní River.

Through his Telegram channel, Chancellor Yván Gil denied these accusations and reaffirmed that «all the records, reports, and evidence gathered by our Bolivarian National Armed Forces clearly demonstrate that such information is nothing more than part of a new false flag operation, orchestrated to victimize the Government of Guyana and fabricate border tensions in the region.»

The communiqué also warns about the geopolitical background of these actions, noting that they are part of war propaganda strategies promoted by external sectors with interests in the region.

«These practices, widely repudiated by the international community, are part of the repertoire of war propaganda designed in the laboratories of the U.S. Southern Command,» emphasizes the communiqué.

Venezuela emphasizes that it will not be distracted by provocations and will continue making firm progress toward the May 25 elections, in which the authorities of the State of Guayana Esequiba will be elected. This fulfills the popular mandate expressed on December 3, 2023, in the consultative referendum.

Finally, the statement reiterated the country’s commitment to peace and the defense of its historic rights: «The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reaffirms its commitment to peace, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. We will defend with firmness and dignity the historic rights bequeathed to us by our liberators. «The Sun of Venezuela rises in the Essequibo!»

VENEZUELA DENOUNCES FALSE FLAG OPERATION ON THE CUYUNI RIVER

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela categorically rejects the statements issued by the Guyana Defense Force on May 15, 2025, which seek to hold Venezuela responsible for alleged attacks against Guyanese troops on the Cuyuní River.

All the records, reports, and evidence gathered by our Bolivarian National Armed Forces clearly demonstrate that such information is nothing more than part of a new false flag operation orchestrated to victimize the Guyanese government and manufacture artificial tensions along the de facto border. These practices, widely condemned by the international community, are part of the repertoire of cheap propaganda designed in the laboratories of the US Southern Command, whose true interest is to perpetuate the transnational plunder of the Essequibo territory.

Venezuela will not be distracted by provocations or lies. Nothing will stop the sacred duty of the Venezuelan State and people to advance toward the elections on May 25th, in which the authorities of the State of Guayana Esequiba will be democratically elected, in accordance with the popular will resoundingly expressed on December 3, 2023.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reaffirms its commitment to peace, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. We will firmly and dignifiedly defend the historic rights bequeathed to us by our liberators.

The sun of Venezuela is born in the Essequibo!”
