Global Ridicule! Machado paid to spread false information in media

Diosdado Cabello, Minister for Interior relations, Justice, and Peace, accused opposition extremist María Corina Machado of «paying for articles in the press» after the publication of information about an alleged agreement with Donald Trump Jr.

On his «Sin truco ni maña” (Without trick nor trickery) program, Cabello said this Friday that the information was denied by the son of US President Donald Trump, who holds no position in the US government.

He called it «global ridicule» and «shameful» that the opposition leader uses «palangristas» (paid journalists) for this:

«It was a global ridicule, a shame, what Mrs. María Machado did, paying for an article in the press to say that she reached an agreement with Donald Trump’s son, who holds no position in the government, and he said it was a lie,» said Cabello.

Operation Guacamaya:

On the other hand, he referred to the so-called «Operation Guacamaya,» with which the opposition claims responsibility for the «rescue» of the opposition members who were seeking asylum in the Argentine Embassy in Caracas.

«That’s why they are in a bad shape, and they fabricate their story (…). What they’re saying is stupid,» he stated.

He also warned of alleged «violent plans» orchestrated by Machado and Iván Simonovis, which would target embassies and other facilities:

«They are preparing violent actions to attack with explosives health centers, police facilities, gas stations, electrical installations, embassies. That’s what Machado and Simonovis are doing. They are working and recruiting people for acts of violence; May they don’t complain later,» he warned.

Venezuela Resists Right-Wing Attacks:

Minister Cabello said that Venezuela is able to resist all attacks from the right wing and imperialism because the Bolivarian Revolution has a national project.

«The first thing we tell people when we talk is that we have a national project, for the country. This is not the case with some heads of state who claim to be friends, but don’t have a national project, but rather personal projects. They can’t understand how there are people in this country capable of resisting despite the sanctions,» he noted.

He also compared the Revolution’s offer to the country with what the far right has shown, asserting that while the government defends the homeland, the opposition wants to hand it over to foreign powers.
