The president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Nicolás Maduro, met this Monday with the “Gente Que Resuelve” (People Who Solve) Campaign Command.
During the meeting, political strategies were discussed for the elections for the Legislative Council, the National Assembly, and governorships, according to a broadcast by the state-run Television Station Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).
President Maduro has repeatedly instructed the candidates to have a genuine commitment to the people and the Bolivarian Revolution.
Likewise, the national dignitary emphasized that «unity will be the basis for a resounding victory on May 25th.»
Along these lines, he also emphasized a call to men and women “to be in the streets, to go out, street by street, town by town, city by city, shoulder to shoulder, with the people, to understand and work on the needs, from every corner of Venezuela.»
Accompanying the highest authority of the PSUV were the coordinator of the «Gente Que Resuelve» Campaign Command, Jorge Rodríguez; the executive secretary, Vanesa Montero; and the heads of the teams, such as Diosdado Cabello; Cilia Flores de Maduro, Nahum Fernández, Juan Escalona, Héctor Rodríguez, Pedro Infante, Carmen Meléndez, and Ricardo Menéndez.
