Three flights will be carried out between Thursday and Friday as part of the Vuelta A La Patria (Return to the Homeland) Plan, a major mission by Venezuela, the only country in the world that comprehensively cares for its migrants.
“All migrants are welcome. Let us give them love, affection, appreciation, family, and community,” said President Nicolás Maduro this Wednesday, detailing how this operation will unfold.
The president explained that, in coordination with the Mexican government, 300 Venezuelans “who managed to flee persecution from the United States will be returned. We have rescued them. We are going to send the Conviasa plane to bring them back safe and sound.”
He specified that it wil be this Thursday at 11 a.m when will arrive the migrants from Mexico, who fled under persecution. The President said another Conviasa flight should arrive in the afternoon, explaining that it will carry migrants rescued from US prisons.
«We are going to rescue a large group of more than 200 Venezuelans,» added President Maduro, highlighting that in the vast majority of cases, «they are economic migrants who, amidst the sanctions, sought an alternative, and ended up persecuted by the United States government.»
Additionally, he explained that a flight from the United States will arrive on Friday, in order to fulfill the weekly flight, and with the goal of rescuing new migrants.
He noted that two weekly flights are being combined to free and rescue migrants from kidnapping in the United States. Their testimonies of the persecution of Venezuelans are incredible.
Rejecting the infamy that says Venezuelan migrants are memberd of the Tren de Aragua (Aragua Train) gang or criminals, President Nicolás Maduro reaffirmed that the supremacists will be given «several lessons,» as well as «the history from Venezuela, of dignity, honor, and perseverance.»
