During his “Con Maduro Live de Repente” (With Maduro Suddenly Live) program, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, referred to a survey carried out by the Hinterlaces pollster, which indicates that the majority of the Venezuelan people rejects the economic sanctions by the United States:
“(…) The survey says 87% of Venezuelans reject economic sanctions from the United States,” he explained.
The President stressed: “We can say, an entire country rejects the fascist, the criminal, the traitor” and added that 91% of those surveyed consider that the sanctions affect the people of Venezuela.
Along these lines, he indicated that “81% of those surveyed believe that those who called for sanctions and a blockade against the country should be brought to justice for treason. Here are the numbers.”
He also addressed the issue of the opposition in Venezuela, pointing out that from the ranks of the opposition “an extreme right-wing opposition [that has] poisoned the entire right wing and democratic society in Latin America and the world” has revived.
In this context, he stressed that “one of the most dangerous Nazi-fascist groups has also emerged from Venezuela,” referring to opposition figures as representatives of this group.
“(…) They seek the destruction of a people and on the basis of the destruction of a people they will enter into domination,” he stressed.
President Maduro in his words emphasized the need for justice, and reaffirmed: “Justice, let there be justice, and in the meantime, nothing and no one will stop us.” And he said: «We are prepared, I said it and I reaffirm it (…), wherever they come we go out to win and we come out well.»
