The Attorney General of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Tarek William Saab, reported on the review of 110 judicial measures related to people detained after the events following the electoral process of July 28 (2024).
The announcement was made through a statement released on the Instagram platform, where the Public Ministry (MP) stressed that it continues with the constant evaluation of investigations linked to the aforementioned events, which allowed the identification of a new group of individuals eligible to receive procedural benefits.
In this sense, the Prosecutor’s Office highlighted that on February 28, the corresponding reviews were carried out, thus reaching a total of 2,006 releases of people associated with the violent actions that occurred after the last electoral process.
The institution reiterated that these decisions were made in full respect of the principles and guarantees established in the Constitution of the Republic, reaffirming its commitment to the defense of peace, justice and the fundamental rights of citizens.

“The Public Prosecutor’s Office announces that as part of the constant process of verification of the investigations it is carrying out: highlighting those linked to the violent and criminal actions carried out after the electoral process of July 28: it has determined in full coordination with the Judicial Branch, a new group of people to receive procedural benefits.
In this regard, on February 28, 2025, 110 review measures were requested, which, added to those that have been processed and reported in previous communications, reach a total number of 2,006 releases granted to date, within the framework of respect and unrestricted observance of the principles and guarantees enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic.
