Operación Relámpago del Catatumbo: A step towards peace

The Vice President of Defense and Sovereignty, Vladimir Padrino López, announced progress in the fight against irregular groups on the border between Venezuela and Colombia.

This announcement is part of the context of Operación Relámpago del Catatumbo (Operation Catatumbo Lightning), an initiative that seeks to restore peace and security in the region.

Results of the operation:

During the inauguration of the National Hall of the Popular Government System, Padrino López offered a detailed report on the results obtained to date in the operation that began last Friday.

The achievements include the destruction of more than 20 camps of various illegal activities that threaten the integrity of the border. Among these camps are:

– Training camps.

– Drug processing camps.

– Logistics camps.

International collaboration for peace:

Padrino López emphasized the collaboration between the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and the military agencies of Colombia.

Both forces are deployed in an area of ​​100 kilometers of border, working together to safeguard the tranquility of local communities. This joint effort symbolizes a commitment to peace and regional cohesion.
