The vice president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Carlos Quintero, reported this Monday that 93% of the justices of the peace, both principal and alternate, who were chosen in the elections of last December 15, have already been assigned to their respective positions.
In a balance sheet, Quintero highlighted the high participation in the elections, which, he indicated, reinforces democracy in the country. In addition, he stressed that this electoral process demonstrated the efficiency and capacity of the electoral body.
According to information from the high official, 4,817 voting centers were enabled throughout the country, and a total of 4,862 Communal Circuits participated.
The electoral process was organized by the Ministry of People’s Power for Communes, Social Movements and Urban Agriculture, and had the support of the CNE.
