Venezuela categorically rejected a bill approved by the House of Representatives of the United States Congress that increases sanctions against the country.
In a statement published on the social network Instagram, the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Relations, Yván Gil, also expressed his repudiation of the disrespectful use of the name of the Liberator Simón Bolívar, and described it as an offense to the memory of the independence hero who fought against colonialism:
“This instrument seeks to prevent the relationship and economic cooperation of Venezuela and the United States in different areas of action, in clear violation of the United Nations Charter, requested by the fascist right wing of the big surnames, adding to the more than 930 unilateral and extraterritorial coercive measures against the Venezuelan people and the American business system itself”, says part of the communiqué.
The document indicates that the bill is a new criminal attack full of anti-values against Venezuela.
Following, the full text of the Communiqué:
“The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela categorically rejects the approval, by the House of Representatives of the United States of America, of a bill that, shamelessly, has been put the acronym of Bolívar, in an offense against the greatest genius of American history, who dedicated his life to defeating imperialism and colonialism, anti-values contained in this new criminal attack.
This instrument seeks to prevent the relationship and economic cooperation of Venezuela and the United States in different areas of action, in clear violation of the United Nations Charter, requested by the fascist right wing of the big surnames, adding to the more than 930 unilateral and extraterritorial coercive measures against the Venezuelan people and the American business system itself.
This new attack will have a sure failure, just like all the ridiculous adventures to which they have subjected the United States government, including the bizarre support for Juan Guaidó in 2019”.
