“We are going to a great journey of change, of rectification, of revolutionary renewal. I count on you!” With this phrase, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, convened on May 1 for a great national journey of dialogue to promote the changes required for what he has called the “historical rectification of the Bolivarian Revolution”.
The journey on which would be received proposals arising from popular wisdom started on May 4 in all communities in the country, and there are 16,841 assemblies held throughout the country, with the participation of members of social movements and grassroots organizations of People’s power.
To these journeys have joined the Congress of the Peoples, the Great Patriotic Pole, the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), governors and mayors.
In his Twitter account, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, described as exemplary the participation of the people, whose contribution will be essential to promote the changes required by the country:
