With more than 6,000 delegates from all over the country, the Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, installed the Great Congress of the Historical Block in the spaces of the La Carlota Park in Caracas, with the aim of outlining the lines of work for the construction of the new State within the framework of the Bolivarian Project of the 7 Transformations (7T) proposed by President Nicolás Maduro:
“It is an honor to be able to install this Historical Congress of the Block of the Homeland that has emerged from the heart of the people, in the heart of the catacombs. More than three and a half million Venezuelans participated and made proposals. This congress must set the course for the Venezuela of the future,” she said.
Rodríguez pointed out that more than 100,000 assemblies were held throughout the country to collect the proposals that today “marks the course of the future with our seven consolidated forces to defend Venezuela” with the Concrete Agenda of Actions.
Likewise, when recalling each of the 7T reflected in the Plan de la Patria (Homeland Plan), she assured that this Congress, which has its roots in the Congress of Angostura and in Father Simón Bolívar, will allow us to definitively bury the bourgeois State of the Fourth Republic:
“These are the defining hours in which we have to play everything for the construction of a truly communal State at the service of society, raising the flags of Bolivarian socialism and our Bolivarian doctrine,” she said.
She reaffirmed that the construction of the future of Venezuela with a “truly egalitarian society, in which the center is the human condition, where we understand ourselves as Bolívar said as a single social body” will depend on the Congress of the Historical Block, as she said.
At the same time, was emphasized that the Congress of the Historical Block is also called upon to define lines in the defense of our sovereignty and territorial security:
“We have to stand up to defend Venezuela as a single force, with great awareness (…) We have to continue standing, fighting, to guarantee a great future for this powerful Venezuela, which defends its identity, which is determined to continue being free and sovereign”.
