In parallel to the agenda of the 79th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan, Ayman Al-Safadi, where they materialized an agreement to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

Chancellor Gil stated through his account on the Telegram social network that «it has been a success to finalize a bilateral agreement with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan, to strengthen the alliance and cooperation between our countries, focused on promoting development and the exchange of culture and experiences.»

The signed document also consists of the Agreement on the Abolition of Visas in Diplomatic and Service Passports between both countries.

Binational diplomatic relations were formalized on August 1, 1954, and have been cordial for 70 years; the Chancellors maintain frequent contact in international forums.
