The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced this Tuesday, August 27, changes in his Executive Cabinet, to “couple the strength of the Popular Revolutionary and Socialist Government of Venezuela.” His first announcement was the ratification of the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez.
“Through the Federal Government Council we will manage the resources for the execution of the projects prioritized in the Popular National Consultation,” indicated Rodríguez after her appointment.
Likewise, after eight years at the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Land, Wilmar Castro Soteldo leaves this entity and Menry Fernández takes on this new task: “A man who likes to walk and travel the fields,” said the head of state while asking him to review the agreements made with the peasant sector and calling for the third National Peasant Congress.

On the other hand, the national leader assigned a new task to Pedro Tellechea, who is leaving the presidency of Petróleos de Venezuela S.A (Pdvsa) and the Ministry of Petroleum, to take over the Ministry of Industries and National Production:
“If Tellechea is leaving the industry at 1 million barrels per day, we must go to 2 million. Because no one will be able to take Venezuela out of the world, but in the meantime we must produce without depending on the oil checkbook,” he said.
Héctor Obregón was appointed to the presidency of Pdvsa and the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, will also take over the Ministry of Petroleum.

“The Revolution uses the cadres it has. I returned to that ministry 22 years later. I was Minister of the Interior in 2002. Let us remember those fascist marches that they did with torches. We were in that battle alongside Commander Chávez and the people and we defeated them. Venezuela is heading towards peace with justice,” said Cabello after his appointment.
