ASTRA Hacker claims responsibility for attacks against the CNE in Venezuela

The hacker known as ASTRA confessed to his participation in the attack on the CNE and in multiple cyber attacks against Venezuelan institutions, with the aim of destabilizing the legitimately elected government of President Nicolás Maduro.

ASTRA, leader of the Cyber Hunters group, admitted that he carried out sophisticated cyber operations to sabotage the country’s electoral system, thereby exposing his clear intention to interfere with the will of the Venezuelan people.

Likewise, he acknowledged that his team manipulated a «ghost machine» of the CNE, from where he managed to saturate the connection ports and seriously affected the system, which delayed the publication of the electoral results of July 28. These acts are a clear attempt to boycott the democratic process and legitimize unfounded accusations of fraud, demonstrating the criminal nature of his actions.

Hacker’s Alliances:

The hacker, who also directed cyber attacks on other key institutions in Venezuela, revealed his alliance with extremist groups such as Anonymous, in a coordinated effort to weaken the government of President Nicolás Maduro. His activities not only seek to disrupt the country’s essential services, but to undermine the nation’s political, economic and social stability.

Despite the head of state’s repeated denounces of the dangers posed by these attacks, ASTRA justifies its actions under the pretext of “defending the will of the people.» However, its true intentions are clear: to destabilize the legitimate government and foment chaos in Venezuela.
