G / J Vladimir Padrino López and A / J Remigio Ceballos will continue to head the Ministry of People’s Power for Defense and the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Ceofanb), respectively, after the President of the Republic Nicolás Maduro ratified their leadership in the Military High Command of Venezuela.
From Fort Tiuna, located in Caracas, he also confirmed the permanence of M / G Fabio Zavarse Pabón as commander general of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) and M / G Manuel Bernal Martínez as commander of the Bolivarian National Militia.
Simultaneously, he announced the appointment of Domingo Hernández Lares as the new commander of the Bolivarian Army; William Serantes Pinto as commander of the Bolivarian Navy and José Rafael Silva Aponte as commander of the Bolivarian Military Aviation.
In this regard, the Dignitary thanked the leadership, loyalty and commitment shown by those who held high positions in the FANB General Staff, while praising the extraordinary results obtained in defense and preservation of territorial integrity:
“I thank the General Staff because it has played a perfect role for the peace, sovereignty and stability of the country; You have won the battle against fierce imperialism that has conspired to divide the Bolivarian National Armed Forces”, he stressed.
In the Court of Honor of the Bolivarian Military University of Venezuela, the president appointed M / G Pedro Juliac as head of the General Staff of the Strategic Operational Command to “develop special projects for air and antiaircraft defense.”
At the end of the joint graduation of 1,083 officers and technicians of the promotions “Bicentennial of the Campaign of the Center, Bicentennial of the Campaign for the Liberation of New Granada and Centenary of the Bolivarian Military Aviation”, granted a 30-day permit “for you to go to your homes and then to directly reincorporate yourselves to the command positions that may correspond”.
