Venezuela incorporates diplomat Álex Saab to the Mexican Dialogue Table

The head of the government delegation and president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, reported on Tuesday that diplomat Alex Saab has been incorporated into the official delegation of the Constitutional Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Dialogue Table installed in Mexico City:

“We want to inform public opinion that we are incorporating diplomat Alex Saab as a full member of this delegation and as a delegate before the social table approved in the partial agreement for the care of the people of Venezuela,” he said.

He emphasized that the diplomat Alex Saab is perfectly qualified to form part as a full member of the Delegation in whose bosom he will also integrate the Social Table along with Gabriela Jiménez and Jorge Rodríguez himself.

Regarding the legal situation of diplomat Alex Saab in Cape Verde, Rodríguez added that Saab “is not detained in Cape Verde, but kidnapped”, in violation of the Vienna Convention and all laws and international agreements that protect the integrity of relations diplomats around the world.

Assets recovery:

Likewise, he announced that the official delegation will take to the next round of talks, the tests of all the actions carried out by the Bolivarian Government to face the COVID 19 pandemic and will request the return of the assets stolen from the country abroad.

“We have already demonstrated how we have been able to combat the Covid19 pandemic (…) now we are going to install the social table to recover the assets of Venezuela,” he emphasized.

In this sense, he stressed the importance of making public the damage caused by the unilateral coercive actions applied by the United States government to all the people of Venezuela.

“The misnamed sanctions are criminal, they are a bombardment against all Venezuelans, but they are also ineffective, it’s not us who say it, that is what the North American Chamber of Commerce says,” he said.

He also denounced the theft of Venezuela’s assets abroad: “How do you explain that Duque took over a company that has belonged to the Venezuelan people for 47 years? (…) The resources of Venezuela are of Venezuela, they are not of Guaidó, they are not of Iván Duque, they are not of Carlos Vecchio”, he warned.
