The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, in a press conference with national and international media, said that no one is going to stop this beautiful voting process, because in «Venezuela there will be peace and respect for the Constitution and the laws,» clarifying that he will be the first to recognize the results issued by the National Electoral Council (CNE).
“Respect for the electoral process is respect for the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. Our country has a Constitution and we are obliged to respect it and to respect the electoral referee.
No one is going to lead Venezuela into chaos, there is an electoral referee and a Constitution, I am Nicolás Maduro, President of the People, I recognize the electoral referee and its official bulletins and I will ensure that its results are respected, holy word”
In addition, he called on the ten electoral candidates and the 38 political parties that operate in Venezuela to also respect the referee.
He told them to respect and publicly declare that they abide by the official bulletin of the CNE, the body in charge of carrying out the elections: “Venezuela has an electoral referee and a perfect and secure electoral system and we do not want anyone to interfere with our electoral system, that no one interferes here in our elections because we do not interfere in electoral processes in any country in the world.”
When asked about if he will be re-elected, Nicolás Maduro said that he will unite the country even more and deepen the economic, social, cultural and political dialogue, towards a deep society, a society that goes beyond political parties, to build new consensus and for Venezuela to have a solid future and a project for the future in the years to come.
He also considered that Venezuela has to vaccinate itself against the Western anti-values that promote individualism, and indicated that one of those anti-values occurs through the social networks. «Communication and dialogue have to be permanent.»
In this sense, he said that he has invited to dialogue more than a thousand times “and tomorrow I will sign a decree on dialogue, which is our priority. Economic dialogue, social dialogue, cultural dialogue and dialogue for our national identity, with the international community,» said the President, when answering the question about this scenario in the context of the international community.
