More than $7 million awarded in science funding

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, praised the participation of researchers in scientific and technological activities, this Thursday at the meeting called “Women in Sciences and Technologies.”

From the “Aquiles Nazoa” Cultural House, in Miranda state, the Head of State approved the delivery of 210 credits for technology research applied to the country.

A pleasure to be with you scientific women of the Great Mission of Science, Technology and Innovation Dr. Humberto Fernández Morán, welcome to the Aquiles Nazoa Cultural House,” he expressed.

With the approval of financing from the scientific sector, the aim is to promote the development of projects aimed at the generation of relevant and applicable knowledge, prior to the injection of financial resources from the contributions of the Organic Law of Science, Technology and Innovation.

In the context of the Great Mission of Science, Technology in Innovation “Humberto Fernández-Morán”, activated on April 10 to strengthen applied science for life, health and peace, it promotes the permanent training of future generations of the sciences.

For her part, the Sectoral Vice President for Science, Technology, Education and Health, specified that 821 scientists will be involved in these investigations, with financing of more than 7 and a half million dollars.

Finally, she highlighted: “These women participated in the discussion of the 7 Transformations of the State, recommended by the National Executive and in that sense they made recommendations for the development of the State’s scientific agenda, with prioritized lines of research that respond to the needs of our country.”
