President Maduro demands USA respect for Venezuelan migrants

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, this Wednesday demanded the Government of the United States (USA) to respect the Venezuelan migrants who are in that country:

To the Venezuelan migrants; We love you. Come back, we are waiting for you here, this (Venezuela) is your land. (…) Enough of xenophobia and persecution,” he expressed.

During his participation in the anniversary program of the “Con el Mazo Dando” (Hitting with the Hammer) program, moderated by the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv), Diosdado Cabello, the Head of State denounced a new campaign of xenophobia against fellow citizens promoted by the North American media The Voice of America.

Maduro urged the Venezuelan people to prepare against false positives and lies orchestrated by “the enemies of Venezuela”:

Let no one take us out of our agenda. Our agenda is to recover this country, to lead it to economic prosperity, to the recovery of social well-being and to a great electoral victory in 2024,” he stressed.

Earlier, the sectoral vice president for Communication, Culture and Tourism, Freddy Ñáñez, pointed out that the aim is to inoculate a dangerous matrix of opinion that falsely links Venezuelans with armed gangs that operate in the US, with the aim of promoting a new wave of xenophobia.
