“That is the path: The path of dialogue and peace,” exalted the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, when referring to the meeting held this Monday by the National Assembly (AN) with the representatives of the Democratic Unitary Platform. (PUD).
At this meeting, the PUD presented proposals regarding the notional consultation on the electoral calendar, as part of the 2024 presidential elections.
“Once the National Assembly has completed its consultation, President Jorge Rodríguez will make public the consensus document signed by all the forces, he will deliver it to the electoral power, a body that will set the electoral schedule, the date of the elections, because In Venezuela in 2024 there are presidential elections (…) that the CNE (National Electoral Council) sets and we are prepared to win,” said the Venezuelan head of state, in the 34th edition of his “Con Maduro+” program.
In the afternoon, the president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, indicated that the proposals presented by the PUD will be included in the draft that is available to prepare an electoral calendar:
“There is a draft that has been shared with all the sectors that have participated in the previous meetings, we are going to analyze the proposals brought by the so-called Unitary Platform, so that everyone feels included in the process of conformity of the electoral schedule by the CNE,” expressed Rodríguez during a press conference.
