National Dialogue Board rejected a statement from the International Contact Group of the European Union

The National Dialogue Board qualified as contradictory the content and terms of the communiqué issued by the International Contact Group (GIT) of the European Union, by attempting to disqualify the progress and results achieved by all sectors of the political forces that make life in this instance of building dialogue and coexistence in the country.
Through a statement, the actors of the Venezuelan Government and sectors of the opposition participating in the National Dialogue Board criticize the interest so far demonstrated by the International Contact Group for the work, objectives and achievements achieved by this instance.
They emphasize the granting of substitute measures of deprivation of liberty to 29 people, the beginning of the designation of a new National Electoral Council within the Parliament and the return of the PSUV parliamentary group to the National Assembly, among other results to seek a way out democratic, electoral that of real solutions to the people of Venezuela.

“The National Dialogue Board rejects the content and terms of the Communiqué issued by the International Contact Group (GIT) of the European Union for being contradictory, when it refers to an exit between Venezuelans and disqualifies the efforts and results of our Negotiating Board, questioning its representativeness despite being composed of representatives of various political forces of the opposition and the government of Venezuela.
No one on behalf of the GIC has, so far, been interested in the work, objectives and achievements achieved by the National Dialogue Board, such as the granting of substitute measures for deprivation of liberty to 29 people, including the First Vice President of the National Assembly and the beginning of the designation of a new National Electoral Council within the National Assembly and the return of the parliamentary group of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, among others.
Ignorance and absolute disinterest often generate serious errors of appreciation and disrespect for Venezuelans. From a distance, it is very easy to disqualify the arduous work of building a dialogue and that of coexistence in order to seek a democratic, electoral way out of real solutions to the people of Venezuela.
The members of the National Dialogue Board are willing to share information with the International Contact Group of the European Union, so that they have a less committed and more objective vision about the development of the dialogues and the situation that Venezuelans are living”.
