National Government remains on permanent alert to address damages from the rains

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, ratified this Thursday that he personally monitors the situation generated by the rains throughout the national territory, issuing instructions to give immediate responses to the affected communities and families:

“We are in a permanent battle, many times it is a shock and I cannot keep from feeling it, it hurts me when a family loses their home (…) and that is why we are obliged to give answers”, said the Head of State.

As a result of the passage of tropical wave number 47 in the national territory, different regions of the country have suffered damages in recent hours, which is why the authorities remain on permanent alert.

In the case of Miranda state, were registered the overflow of a stream, landslides and flooding in homes in the Zamora and Sucre municipalities.

Meanwhile, in La Guaira state, specifically in the Catia La Mar parish, a landslide occurred, leaving four people dead.

The intense rainfalls registered this Thursday afternoon in Carabobo state, also left several fallen trees and flooding in different streets.

During the delivery of the 4,200,000th Milestone of the Great Mission Housing Venezuela (GMVV), in Valles del Tuy, Miranda state, the Head of State expressed his words of condolence to the afflicted families, while instructing the Minister of People’s Power for Housing, Ildemaro Villarroel, to reinvent and plan the GMVV in the face of tragedies due to climate change.
