The constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, visited this Monday the area impacted by the damagea caused as a result of climate change in Las Tejerías, in the Santos Michelena municipality of Aragua state, to inspect the works of rescue and risk mitigation to the affected population.
Accompanied by the first combatant woman, Cilia Flores, among other national and regional authorities, the head of state evaluated the current situation and received information from the emergency forces:
“Rest assured that we are going to recover every last business and every last house and whoever has lost their home we are going to build a new one for each one, may the people of Venezuela rest assured”, expressed the national president, when sharing with the families who are receiving care from the Venezuelan State.
The Dignitary said that the solidarity shelters with all the services are already organized for those who lost their homes and belongings, until the construction of new houses and the assignments of the new family residence are carried out:
“No one is going to be left alone. So far we have 400 homes totally lost, disappeared, and 400 more with some partial damages. There are 800 for now, because the higher we go, the more damages we find”, reported the President.
He assured that with the Great Mission Housing Venezuela (GMVV), the Venezuelan State can help relocate affected families. He announced that near the town, a building with about 200 apartments has already been identified, which in 2 months could be operational for delivery.
He also announced that he appointed a General for the 23 disaster zones in the municipality, who will coordinate the aid and rescue actions.
He asked God for strength and blessings to the families who lost a loved one and asked to pray for the souls of those who left in this tragedy.
