The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, asserted that the hijacking of the cargo plane of Empresa de Transporte Aerocargo del Sur (Emtrasur), is an imperial maneuver directed by the FBI, whose main objective is to dispossess its assets to attack the Venezuelan people:
«It is a maneuver against Venezuela, like so many other maneuvers, to steal assets, accounts, money, gold abroad”, said the national president, while stating that the Venezuelan State is making a legal defense to recover from its hijackers the plane and its crew who are in Argentina.
“I reiterate that the plane and its crew have not committed any crime in Argentina. it is an incredible thing that a person enters a country and cannot leave without having committed any crime, they do not have any order».
The Head of State pleads for justice in this case “sooner rather than later this maneuver that comes from the United States can be done justice and, may the expression be worth, may the Venezuelan pilots, the Iranian professionals recover their freedom, and let us recover a good that belongs to Venezuela”.
