Head of State highlights unprecedented popular mobilization that demands the return of assets stolen abroad

The Venezuelan people took to the streets to give a strong message to the world: we demand the return of our gold seized in London, the Conviasa plane and the other national assets that they intend to steal from us. Enough of abuses! We will not stop raising our voice,” expressed President Nicolás Maduro Moros on Tuesday.

The Head of State thus established his position on the latest events that have occurred with the patrimony of Venezuela abroad, where governments bent on the interests of the imperial regime that governs the United States, intend to appropriate the assets of the Venezuelan people, such as the gold of the international reserves deposited in the Bank of England, in the United Kingdom, and the case of the Conviasa plane, hijacked two months ago in Argentina and for which a Miami court asked the judicial authorities of that South American country to “seize” the plane.

In the massive popular presence in the streets of Caracas, the attendees also demanded the nations of the world to respect international law, Venezuelan sovereignty and the return of assets stolen abroad, such as the CITGO companies in the United States, the Monomeros company in Colombia and the accounts in foreign banks. The slogan under which the Venezuelan men and women spoke was the unison chorus: “Thieving Empire, give us back the plane”.

Likewise, the Venezuelan Head of State applauded the repudiation agreement approved by the 277 deputies of the Legislative Power of the Bolivarian Republic, who urged the government of President Alberto Fernández not to be an accomplice of imperial terrorism and proceed to lift the restrictions on Emtrasur aircraft and its crew to return to Venezuela immediately.

My total support for the agreement approved in the AN in repudiation of the intention of the US to illegally seize the Venezuelan plane hijacked in Argentina. We will not rest until we recover what belongs to us. Venezuela is respected! We are united against injustice”.
