The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Venezuelan people and Government, congratulates the Colombian People for the historic election journey of this Sunday, June 19, where Gustavo Francisco Petro Urrego was elected as President of the Republic of Colombia, and Francia Márquez Mina as vice president.

The sovereign people of Colombia took to the streets with great civility to exercise their right to vote and express their decision to change, it is a triumph that reflects the will of the majority of the People who seek the justice and equality they long for in democratic peace. in their country and that they invoke in the notes of their National Anthem «In furrows of pain, goodness now germinates!».
