Under the precise instruction to go to the recovery of the socialist welfare state, President Nicolás Maduro ordered the Executive Cabinet to prepare the expansion and growth plan for the Missions and Great Social Missions throughout the country.
When heading up the Cabinet of Socialist Missions this Thursday to strengthen the Social Protection System of the people, the head of State directed «to leave the resistance phase and go to the counteroffensive and expansion of the Missions and Great Missions.»
He recalled that the entire social action system is made up of 28 Missions and Great Missions, which are the basis of the concept of government care created by Commander Chávez, and assured that the present objective is to strengthen it:
«I want to see the expansion and growth plan, let’s go to the objective to recover the social welfare state (…) The extreme right wing has proposed to dismantle the achievements of the Bolivarian welfare state, we have to confront all those who want to destroy the state of social welfare”, he emphasized.
To Prioritize youth:
In this sense, the national president urged to increase attention to vulnerable sectors, mainly aimed at the elderly, women, care for pregnant women, the Venezuelan family and households, with a particular emphasis on plans aimed at youth: «The youth needs better and more attention»
To do this, he urged to raise plans for youth, in sports, cultural areas, for their physical development and accompaniment in values, with programs that reduce the cult of violence: “I want to make a great unitary mission, to unite in a single Great Mission the efforts we are making in favor and attention to the youth”, he asked.
CLAP reaches 7 million households:
In this context, President Nicolás Maduro announced that despite the economic war, currently 7 million families are served in their basic food needs thanks to the Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP):
“If we combine those 7 million with the other 21 million that are protected by social benefits, we will be clearer where to go with the great missions, such as the Great Mission Barrio Nuevo Barrio Tricolor (New Neighborhood, Tricolor Neighborhood), that is, we have to go everywhere , to the neighborhoods and urbanizations”, he sentenced.
He announced that one of the immediate actions in this regard should be the recovery of the outpatient clinics in the communities, the Integral Diagnosis Centers (CDI) and the Barrio Adentro (Health) Mission modules: «All outpatient clinics have to be open, with a family doctor, with a nurse”, ordered the head of state.
During the activity, the «Alberto Lovera» Popular Clinic was inaugurated in the San Agustín parish, a health center equipped with an operating room, delivery room, hospitalization beds, trauma shock beds, dialysis chairs, nebulization chairs and X-rays among other services.
