COVID: Venezuela registers 1,340 new cases of community transmission and 1 imported case

A total of 1,341 new cases of COVID-19, of which 1,340 are by community transmission and 1 imported case (from Panama), were detected in the last 24 hours by the Venezuelan health authorities, bringing the accumulated total of infections to 255,457, while the recovery rate remains at 92 percent, totaling 235,795 healed patients.

This was announced this Wednesday by the sectoral vice president for Communication, Culture and Tourism, Freddy Ñáñez, during the customary daily balance of the Presidential Commission for the Control and Prevention of COVID-19.

The entity with the highest number of community cases was Carabobo state, with new active cases in 10 of its 14 municipalities. Was also reported the unfortunate death of 21 new victims by COVID-19, between 46 and 100 years of age, totaling 2,886 deceases to date.
