COVID: Venezuela registered slight decrease in cases

Venezuela reported a slight decrease in Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, with 864 new infections registered on May 3, 2021, 1 imported from the Dominican Republic and the rest being community contagions.

Yaracuy state with 208 cases is the entity with the highest number of infections in 13 of its 14 municipalities, followed by Lara with 137, Bolívar with 82, Miranda with 75 and La Guaira with 65.

414 days after the start of the pandemic, the total number of confirmed cases is 200,931, 182,757 recovered persons and 15,958 active cases, of which 15,350 are being treated in the public sector and 635 in the private health sector.

5,299 patients present mild respiratory failure, 698 moderate, 136 are confined in intensive care units and 9,672 do not present any kind of symptoms.
