The Electoral Nominations Committee of the National Assembly (NA) presented this Monday the list of the 38 nominees for rectors of the National Electoral Council (CNE) who passed the evaluation process during the second cycle of reception of documents.
Through the web page of the Parliament, they published a statement in which they indicated that the Electoral Nominations Committee, in compliance with the regulations in force, presents the list of the candidates nominated in the second cycle, who passed the evaluation process in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Organic Law of the Electoral Power.

After the end of the period established to receive the nominations for CNE rectors, the Parliament approved to grant an extension of 10 consecutive days as from March 18, after the Committee indicated that several candidates failed to send their documentation on time.
They also stated that “of the 44 candidacies presented, 38 were approved and will go to the objection stage in the next few days. The successful candidates will be added to the list of the first 75 nominees”.
