Maduro and Rowley strengthen cooperation ties between Venezuela and Trinidad and Tobago


The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, held a meeting on Monday with the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Keith Christopher Rowley, with the aim of strengthening the cooperation in the areas of trade, energy and security.
Arriving from Jamaica, Maduro arrived in the Caribbean country on Sunday night accompanied by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Delcy Rodríguez; the Minister for Industry and Trade, Miguel Angel Perez Abad; Minister for Petroleum and Mining, Eulogio del Pino; the President of the Central Bank of Venezuela, Nelson Merentes; and the Minister for Communication and Information, José Luis Marcano.
After receiving the honors corresponding to his investiture, the Venezuelan Head of State will continue its work agenda in the diplomatic center of Trinidad and Tobago, after the meeting held on Monday morning with his counterpart Anthony Carmona in Port of Spain.
