COVID: Venezuela registers 345 community cases, 35 imported and recovery rate is at 94%

A total of 345 cases of community transmission of COVID-19 and 35 imported ones were detected in the last 24 hours by the Venezuelan health authorities, to raise the total number of infections to 93,480, while the rate of recovered remains at 94 percent of the total number of cases, registering 88,326 healings with free treatments.

This was announced by the sectoral vice president for Communication, Culture and Tourism, Freddy Ñáñez, through a publication in his official accounts on social networks, in which he explained that so far the country has 4,340 active cases, of which 4,291 are being treated within the public health system and 49 in private clinics.

He highlighted that Lara is the state that registered this Wednesday, the highest number of community cases in all its municipalities: Iribarren 35, Palavecino 9, Andrés Eloy Blanco 5, Crespo 5, Morán 4, Urdaneta 2, Jiménez 2, Torres 1, Simón Planas 1.

The also Minister for Communication and Information published a graph in which he specifies where the new cases of community transmission were diagnosed, which are discriminated in the following way:

He added that with regard to the imported cases, 35 are coming from Colombia, 34 with entry from the state of Táchira and one through Apure state, among which there are 17 women and 18 men.

Regarding the deceased, he specified that there were four regrettable losses: two men aged 66 and 51 from Mérida state, a 91-year-old man from Barinas state, and a 29-year-old man from Carabobo state.

He also reported that 2,168,642 tests have been carried out as of Wednesday, which is equivalent to 72,288 tests per million inhabitants.

On the other hand, he recalled that this Tuesday the electoral campaign began in the country, regarding which he wishes that “this democratic party is full of ideas for the common good and is carried out as it has been up to now, taking care of all biosafety regulations. This week of extended easing demands a lot from us from a self-regulation point of view. The virus is in the street and we must not lower our guard ”.
