This Monday October 5 starts 7 + 7 Plus Plan in Venezuela

In order to strengthen the fight against Covid-19, and under the slogan “In Venezuela we have decided to take care of ourselves”, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced the start of the 7 + 7 Plus Plan this Monday, October 5. This announcement was made during the Sunday session with the Presidential Commission for the Control and Prevention of Covid-19, where it was also offered a collective triumphant balance of the 203-day quarantine, thanks to the Venezuelan method.

The President explained that this new phase has three objectives “To improve and perfect the treatments to reach (the goal of) zero deaths; Breaking the chains of contagion with care, in Venezuela we have decided to take care of ourselves to the extreme and to go breaking the chains of contagion; and thus advance towards the vaccine”. he pointed out.

He also assured that the 7+7 Plus Formula will be the fifth stage of the Venezuelan quarantine, which will prepare a happy Christmas in a pandemic; after four previous permanent stages, which Venezuela activated throughout these weeks, as part of the balance offered.

Covid-19 vaccines:

The Head of State also reported that this October, Venezuela will receive the first doses of the vaccine against Covid-19 from China, to join the third stage of clinical trials: “we are articulated to the new multipolar world”.

Regarding the Sputnik V vaccine, the Russian vaccine, it is expected in this fifth stage, its advance to be incorporated into the 7+7 Plus formula, with the selection of 2,000 volunteers who will use the antidote in their clinical trials of phase 3: “It seems very good to me… my son and my older sister in this phase. As soon as we start mass vaccination, I will be the first to get vaccinated”, he reported.

President Maduro stressed that this vaccine is totally protective because it generates 1.6 times the defense capacity or immunity, much higher than the defenses acquired by those who have normally overcome the contagion. stated that the first dose is set on day zero and the second dose on day twenty-one: “We are in the clinical phase, when it ends, the vaccination phase comes, as soon as the testing phase immediately closes, the voluntary vaccination phase will come”.

Similarly, he pointed out that this vaccination will be done first to medical and health personnel, teachers, then to the elderly, people with some diseases or vulnerabilities, and so on to the rest of the population. “And we will do it throughout the country.”

203 days balance:

He recalled that before the declaration of the pandemic by the World Health Organization, Venezuela had already acted on February 7 with the installation of the Presidential Commission for the Control and Prevention of Coronavirus, the prevention and communication campaign, with attention for diagnostic tests, PCRs, the necessary use of masks and then the suspension of presence-based classes, flights and quarantine at home.

The Head of State extended his appreciation and congratulations to the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, the Minister for Health Carlos Alvarado and the team of professionals, doctors, health personnel, for the extraordinary work done so far.

On March 11, the WHO decreed the pandemic, long after Venezuela made the preparations for the Commission. Two days later, the Bolivarian Government announced the Constitutional Alarm Decree and set up the Public Health System for the immediate attention of any case. The attack of the media scoundrel then began to predict that Venezuela would be the epicenter of the pandemic on the continent”.

In the second stage, with the radical, voluntary quarantine, Venezuela was an example to the world: “The whole months of March, April, May, and we achieved the miracle of controlling, reaching zero cases, in control with timely measures”, said the President.

In those three months, the cases were 2 or 3 daily until mid-July. As of this date, intelligence information arrived from Colombia that Iván Duque planned to infect migrants who were returning to Venezuela, after suffering harassment, xenophobia and discrimination. Thus, the Colombian narco-paramilitary truck drivers carried out plans by passing thousands of Venezuelans through illegal passages, which increased the rate of community infections in July, August and September, although it is now controlled.

Then began the installation by Venezuela of the Integral Social Care Posts (Pasi) at the border zones, to serve more than 140,000 returned migrants, providing them free treatment, tests, quarantine, accommodation, food and transportation.

But the mafias and paramilitaries in Colombia had already executed the plan of the former Colombian leaders. “Let’s never forget it, write this down: Iván Duque and Álvaro Uribe Vélez. That was the third stage we went through: trocherismo (human trafficking through illegal passings). But we reacted in time and the Government, along with the People’s Power achieved the mobilization to contain and face this stage”.

The President denounced before the UN Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, the mafias that began to accuse Venezuela of “stigmatizing” returning migrants, calling them “trocheros”, to try to divert criminal behavior. “They wanted to blame us, but trocherismo is a reality”, he said.

He reported that up to date more than 100,000 migrants have been treated at the PASI, while 10,000 returned through the trails, which raised the contagion rates in Venezuela. Thanks to the solidarity of socialist Cuba, and international allies such as China, Russia, Turkey and others, this threat was achieved to be lowered.

The fourth stage was the 7 + 7 formula, seven days in quarantine and seven in relaxation, which the country continues putting to test: “Venezuela is the only country in the world that has a method that combines radical quarantine, which must be maintained as long as the virus exists, and social and economic flexibility”, said President Maduro.

Solidarity with Trump:

Likewise, the Head of State and Government expressed his solidarity with the President of the United States, Donald Trump, who tested positive for Covid-19 on October 2: “We express our human solidarity with the President of the United States, we wish you life and health, Mr. Trump. We hope you have a speedy recovery”, he said.

In this sense, he stressed that to date this country (USA) remains the epicenter of contagion of the pandemic, with about 8 million infected and around 214,542 deaths, as results of health care policies by the government led by Trump.
