The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced this Thursday the activation this October of the military exercises “Bolivarian Shield 2021 – 200 years of Carabobo”, practices to strengthen the skills of the FANB throughout the national territory.
“In October the military exercises ‘Bolivarian Shield 2021, 200 years of Carabobo’ will be activated in the 8 REDI and 24 ZODI, to test the mobilization, deployment and combat capacity of all the components of the FANB”, he explained.
He called “for everyone to be alert, to test the mobilization capacity, combative deployment of the four components and the capacity to immediately activate the Bolivarian National Militia at the level of all the towns and cities of the country for the territorial defense”, he reaffirmed.
The national president made these announcements during the celebration of the 16th Anniversary of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (CEOFANB), a journey on which he shared with members of our armed forces in Fort Guacaipuro, Miranda state:
“We have come to ratify the path of military union, the path of a powerful force for the military defense of Venezuela (…) A united and unique Armed Force has lifted us from the attacks, within itself with a new structure integrated within all the components that have been developed and built over the years”, he said.
Training centers in each REDI:
During his message, President Maduro approved the construction and activation, in the eight defense regions of the country, of training centers and firing ranges for territorial defense, the expansion of the weapons system and the permanent development of military exercises, actions to strengthen the tactical method of revolutionary resistance:
“All regions must have a powerful training center and firing range so that all military personnel are properly teached, trained and with a thousand percent aim in the tactical method of revolutionary resistance, which is the method of military struggle for the defense of the Venezuelan territory”, he emphasized.
16 years of CEOFANB:
He recalled that 16 years after the creation of the CEOFANB, today the country has “eight powerful military forces integrated among themselves with the strategic regions, to guarantee peace and that they are never violated by any imperialist boot. A path that was not easy began 16 years ago, and today we see the fruits”, he said.
In this context, he recalled that this achievement was part of the legacy of General Jacinto Pérez Arcay, who influenced the birth of this training process together with the eternal commander Hugo Chávez, and urged this story to be widely known in the military academies and schools of the country.
To the Hunt of the Tancol:
Similarly, he warned about the existence of armed terrorist groups, linked to drug trafficking organizations in Colombia, known as “Tancol”, which have been infiltrating Venezuela.
“They are neither guerrilla, nor pseudo-guerrilla, nor paracos. They are the Tancol. They are groups of 30, 60 or even 100 people, financed and trained from Colombia, who bring them across the border in order to decimate internal security, to attack the people, to traffic cocaine and prepare attacks on military, political and popular targets in the country”, he denounced.
Against this scenario, he anticipated that all these groups have been identified “so we can get them out of the country”, for which he asked for the support of the Venezuelan people, the communes, the people’s power, the Venezuelan leaders and families, in order to identify and apprehend these armed terrorists.
Likewise, the Head of State ordered to increase the protection of the electoral centers and guarantee the development in peace and tranquility of the elections on November 21.
