Venezuela assures environmental crisis is caused by capitalism

This Thursday, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, during her speech at the Stockholm International Meeting + 50, held in Sweden, highlighted that this has been the worst environmental crisis, and it is caused by a capitalist production model:

“This is the worst environmental crisis that has affected the human species, and the main cause is man and the artificial model of capitalist production that has taken the effects on Mother Earth out of the ordinary,” said the vice president.

She stressed that “this has been an exacerbated capitalism against the rights of Mother Earth, excessive exploitation, deforestation, loss of biodiversity, overfishing, pollution has caused an increase in temperatures, rises in sea level, drought.”

Venezuela calls for the maximum awareness that the peoples of the world can have. There are data that stand out that we cannot ignore and that is that all human beings that inhabit the planet, we have to be aware of what we are experiencing. The World Health Organization (WHO) highlighted that 92% of the world’s population lives in places with atmospheric pollution.
