Venezuela consolidates strategic alliances with Iran

The Iranian experience will help to reinforce all the managerial capacity, direction, plans and development projects in the country, as reported this Sunday the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros.

“Iran met 40 years ago the tasks that we have been developing, and managed to establish a very powerful industry in the energy field”, emphasized the head of state in the program “Aquí con Ernesto Villegas” (Here with Ernesto Villegas), led by the Minister for Culture, Ernesto Villegas.

In the program broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión and digital platforms, the President of the Republic highlighted the strategic alliances with the Islamic country, since Iran is helping Venezuela in different areas of development.

On the other hand, he commented that the acquisition of weapons from Iran is being evaluated, after Colombian President Iván Duque accused Venezuela of making missile purchases with the Arab nation, “with the intention of diverting the sights from the health collapse that is experiencing Colombia”.

He recalled that this Saturday he gave the instruction to the Minister for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, to seriously evaluate the acquisition of short, medium and long-range missiles, to reinforce the integral defense of the nation, since there are no legal impediments to do that:

«Iván Duque is a very dirty guy, with more than 35 massacres so far this year, more than 250 human rights leaders, more than 200 former FARC combatants, he is capable of anything, but I trust on the defensive capacity of Venezuela and in our FANB and the civic-military union”, he added.
