Venezuela totals 288 coronavirus cases and raises the number of recovered people to 122

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced on Tuesday three new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19), totaling 288 infected, while the number of recovered people increases to 122.

From the Military Circle in Caracas, the National President detailed that 77 people are in hospitals, 52 in Integral Diagnosis Centers, 27 in clinics and 10 have deceased.

Of the total number, 88 cases are registered in Miranda state, with two deceased, 31 infected in Caracas with four deceased, 72 cases in Nueva Esparta state, 29 infected in Aragua state, and 14 cases in La Guaira state.

Regarding the situation of the pandemic, the Head of State expressed his concern about the situation in Colombia and Brazil, when the worldwide register already reaches more than 2.5 million infected.

In that sense, he instructed to reinforce security on the border with Brazil, given the high figures registered in the South American nation.

On the other hand, the Venezuelan president regretted the situation that is registered in Colombia, and on its border with Táchira state, in which an epidemiological fence was activated to receive thousands of Venezuelans who wanted to return to the country, due to the situation of the pandemic. All of them have had their rapid and PCR tests to rule out Covid-19 infection.
