The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela repudiates the new offensive and interference statements of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, against the nation and disowning the legitimacy of the constitutional president, Nicolás Maduro.
The chancellor of the Republic, Jorge Arreaza, announced on Wednesday the pronouncement of Venezuela through a statement that he read from the headquarters of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, in Caracas.
Following, the full communiqué:
“The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela strongly rejects and complies with denouncing to the international community the expressions of interference and rude interference in its internal affairs by Donald Trump, in the annual address before the US Congress.
In an agonizing effort to revive the already failed strategy of a government change by force, attached to a prefabricated script amidst an electoral show, and making use of a speech full of lies, chauvinism and supremacist statements, Trump offends and disrespects the Venezuelan people when making violent threats against its integrity and against the constitutional, legitimate and democratic government of President Nicolás Maduro Moros.
The American ruler, in a delirious and arrogant speech in which he seemed to resurrect the already obsolete manifest destiny, reiterated his contempt for peace, for international law, for life, and, in particular, his contempt for the sovereignty of Venezuela, counting on the shameful complicity of those who are dedicated to selling the homeland in exchange for the humiliating crumbs thrown at them by their boss, Mr. Trump, depending on his mood swings.
The Venezuelan people “will never allow the United States to throw misery in our Americas in the name of a false freedom”, it has proved by large by not giving in to blackmail, threat and interference, promoted not by a Head of State, but by a charlatan, an arrogant, with emperor’s airs who pretends to dominate his country and dominate the entire world through deception, extortion, ignorance and strength.
Venezuela is and will be irrevocably free and independent; Only the Venezuelan people determines and will determine its present and its victorious, sovereign and socialist future.”
