Venezuela assumed the presidency of the Latin American-Caribbean Group of UNESCO

Venezuela assumed on Thursday the presidency of the Latin American-Caribbean Group (GRULAC) of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), as informed the Venezuelan ambassador for that international organization, Hector Constant Rosales.

Through his account on the Twitter social network, Constant Rosales said the board of directors of the group will also be made up by representatives of Cuba and Nicaragua.

“I assumed today, on behalf of Venezuela, the Presidency of the Latin American-Caribbean Group (GRULAC) of UNESCO. Are accompanying me on the board of directors Cuba, as Vice President, and Nicaragua in the Secretariat. With Bolívar, Martí and Sandino we will continue working for the regional union!”, he wrote on the social network.

GRULAC is made up by 33 member states of Latin America and the Caribbean, and serves as a non-binding dialogue group where issues related to regional and international issues are discussed.
