President Maduro led events honoring the Liberator and the Naval Battle of the Lake

The President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Nicolás Maduro, led on Tuesday the commemorative events for the 195th anniversary of the Naval Battle of Lake Maracaibo and the 235 years of the birth of the Liberator, Simón Bolívar .

In the act, the National leader asserted that Venezuela will continue to walk the path of freedom and sovereignty:

“Venezuela will continue to walk its path of freedom. We will be free, independent and sovereign forever. There will be no return to colonialism”, he said from Puerto Cabello, in Carabobo state.

He ratified the anti-imperialist and anti-colonialist character of the components of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), after referring that it is due to the legacy of the patriotic forces that fought for independence more than 200 years ago.

He urged the members of the Bolivarian National Navy to always strengthen and raise the flags of Bolivarian values in the face of constant provocations from foreign powers.
