“This is the Letter that President @NicolasMaduro has sent to the Heads of State and Government of the world participating in the United Nations Conference on Climate Change # COP25Madrid. “There can be no climate justice, without social justice. Let’s save humanity”
“I call from Venezuela for an unavoidable and unappealable global action in defense of the human species and the Common House that shelters us, for the sake of living in community, fraternally, and in harmony with nature”, says the text.
In the letter, the Head of State emphasizes the need to take these actions in the face of the climatic emergency that the world is experiencing as a result of the “capitalist retrograde model” that has generated a generalized depredation of planetary resources and their inequitable benefits.
“There is no more time, neither margins of maneuver for half measures, for negotiations behind the scenes, to make a declaration of good intentions, there is no alternative but to fight against a totally predatory system of domination, and thus defend, even more, save what has given us life and the possibility of projecting it”, refers the text.
He also recalled that Venezuela has always proposed to advance in deeper commitments to act against the ravages of change.
