Chancellor Arreaza: Venezuela lives an unconventional war experiment


“Venezuela is experiencing an unconventional war experiment that is accompanied by theft and looting of the goods and assets of the Republic. From this platform we demand the lifting of all unilateral coercive measures on our country”, denounced on Wednesday the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs, Jorge Arreaza, at the preparatory ministerial meeting of the 18th Summit of the Non-Aligned Countries Movement (NAM) .
From Baku, capital of Azerbaijan, the Venezuelan Chancellor indicated that the Bolivarian country “is applying a plan of economic and financial destruction, through the illegal promulgation and implementation of unilateral coercive measures, a collective punishment to our people to bend its Will”.
“Venezuela is a victim of the onslaught of interventionism by external factors in its eagerness to promote a change of government and establish a regime servile to its interests”, he reiterated.
The head of Venezuelan diplomacy said that multilateralism faces a complete crisis in the face of the aggressions of Western countries: “A systemic phenomenon that manifests itself with military interventions, political and economic destabilization of the States”
“We face multiple and complex threats to international peace and security, and as responsible members of the international community we must address them through multilateralism, within the framework of the United Nations Charter”, he said.
He pointed out that from Caracas he reiterates his political and moral commitment to defend the United Nations Charter as well as the principles of Bandung that found the NAM: “It is time to support multilateralism and diplomacy to realize a peaceful and prosperous world for all The humanity”.
