Maduro denounces there are plans from Colombia to assassinate him


The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, denounced on Wednesday that from Colombia, they are designing a plan to assassinate him, with the support of the government of the United States (USA):
“The American imperialism and the president of Colombia, Iván Duque, want to kill me. From Colombia they are preparing 10 plans to kill me”, said the head of state in a joint radio and television broadcast from Portuguesa state.
In this regard, he said that from Colombia are being financed terrorist groups to execute the assassination against him:
“We do have evidences, and we will present them to the Security Council with video, photos, with all the testimonies on how the Colombian government is preparing terrorists to make terrorist attacks, on military, civil, institutional objectives to try to assassinate president Maduro from the government of Colombia. We have the evidences”, emphasized the National President during a journey of delivery of housings.
In this regard, he stressed the commitment of the National Government to consolidate peace and improve relations between the two nations, however, the Duque administration has generated the scenarios in order to create chaos and destabilization in Venezuela:
“Iván Duque, look at me, I only say to you on behalf of Venezuela and the Bolivarian Armed Forces, don’t mess with Venezuela”, he reiterated.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza reported that the Venezuelan government will present to the UN evidences on terrorist acts from Colombia against Venezuela.
The statements by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, arise after Colombian Foreign Minister Carlos Holmes Trujillo presented a report at the Organization of American States (OAS) in which he accuses the Venezuelan government of supporting armed groups.
