The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, denounced that from the US was given the order to the Venezuelan opposition to appoint – from the National Assembly – a parallel Electoral Power and call for elections.
“The empire has given an order, not to acknowledge the results. And they have given an order, we will see if they comply with it, to choose a new fraudulent, false CNE; calling for fraudulent, false elections; and we have for them a constitutional, legal, democratic, free and sovereign surprise”, said the Head of State during a press conference with international media, held at Miraflores Palace, to offer a balance of regional elections.
The Venezuelan leader addressed a speech to Julio Borges, an opposition leader, who said that if they intend to leave the Venezuelan electoral panorama, he will stick to the consequences.
“With or without you in Venezuela there will be elections and we will continue to renew all public powers as appropriate and our people will go to vote” and added “if you challenge the people to leave the electoral system and call for abstention, the people will give you the mother of all lessons, and if you stay within the electoral system for the next mayoral elections we will win 90% of the mayoralties”, he warned.
He informed that the electoral team of the revolutionary forces is working to obtain the victory in the next municipal elections.
