Colombian government tries to justify aggression against Venezuela through a false positive

The head of State and Government, Nicolás Maduro Moros, denounced the escalation by the government of Iván Duque, to justify, through a false positive, an armed conflict between the two nations:
“Today they have taken as an excuse the resurgence of the war within Colombia”, said the president, while assuring that the aggression attempts really respond to the hatred felt by the Colombian government for having failed in all the attempts for a coup d’etat in the country so far this year:
“They have tried to build an escalation of lies (…) for the hatred they have for Venezuela and for the failure in the coup attempts of this 2019, behind the attempt to impose a man self-proclaimed as head of government”.
He explained that 80% of the Colombian territory is not under the control of the (Colombian) State, since this is a failed State that “has tried in the last three months to capture Venezuelan officials to affect the radar, air, anti-aircraft and missile systems of the country”.
“Fortunately, the intelligence and counter-intelligence services, the morale of our soldiers and officers have countered those pretenses to penetrate the Venezuelan defense capacity”, he emphasized.
During the installation of the Defense Council of the Nation, carried out in Miraflores Palace, Maduro also assured that the Bolivarian Government has the evidences to dismantle these fake news, part of which were shown on the morning by the sectoral vice president for Communication, Culture and Tourism, Jorge Rodríguez, and said that in the next few days the people will continue to be informed.
