Chancellor Arreaza met with director elected of FAO


The chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, met on Tuesday with the recently elected director of the United Nations Organization for Food and Agriculture (FAO), Qu Dongyu, to whom he reiterated the commitment of the nation to deepen cooperation in matters of food sovereignty.
«We met with the newly elected director general of FAO, Qu Dongyu. We convey the congratulations of President Nicolás Maduro and the commitment to further deepen the cooperation of the Bolivarian Government of Venezuela to ensure food sovereignty», wrote Arreaza in his account on the Twitter social network.
The top Venezuelan diplomatic official also referred to his meeting with the Diplomatic Adviser of Italy, Pietro Benassi: «We held a cordial meeting on bilateral issues with Pietro Benassi, Diplomatic Adviser to the Prime Minister of Italy, Giuseppe Conte.»
Arreaza is in Rome, Italy, participating in the High Level Segment of the 41st session of FAO, where he ratified the commitment of Venezuela to continue working with the agency, for the construction of food security programs, for the welfare of the peoples of the world.
