Diosdado Cabello, the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), explained on Tuesday that what is happening in Venezuela is a lesson for the world.
During the ceremony commemorating the Bicentennial of the passage of the Liberator through the Arauca River, Cabello reiterated that “there are soldiers who kneel before imperialism and its lackeys”.
He also stressed that “the right wing is calling for an invasion, the foreign military will not enter saying “nice to meet you”, no. We are not going to sit idly by, we do not want a war, we want peace, but we have to be prepared to defend ourselves”.
On the other hand, he made it clear that “those who call for an intervention in the country, have to be judged and treated as enemies of the Fatherland (…) Treason generates despise in me. That despise grows when the traitors begin to blame others, they do not have the courage to assume their position as traitors”, he said.
