OPEC will continue to guarantee a balance in the price of crude oil this 2019


The Head of State and Government, Nicolás Maduro Moros, welcomed this Tuesday night at Miraflores Palace, to the Secretary General of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Mohammed Barkindo, who arrived in the country to accompany the events on the occasion of the presidential inauguration scheduled for next Thursday, January 10.
During the meeting, were discussed topics related to the organization’s development plans for this 2019, since Venezuela is presiding the conference of OPEC countries from January 1st:
“Together with our secretary general we have discussed the plan for this 2019, the plan to balance, stabilize and govern the oil market in the best way in the alliance of OPEC and non-OPEC oil producing countries”, he said.
He pointed out that the purpose is to continue evaluating and monitoring agreements between member countries to ensure the balance of the cost of crude oil “fair prices bring stability in the world economy, allowing renewed investment, exploitation, production and give strength to the oil financial system of the world”, said Maduro.
He also ratified his support for the organization and reiterated that Venezuela will continue working to consolidate the global geopolitics of stable prices in the oil area.
Earlier, the Head of State held a meeting with the Minister for Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Han Changfu, who conveyed the support of the Asian giant in the political, economic, financial and military scopes.
